Register online by Tuesday, January 4, 2022 (World Braille Day)

To register go to: https://nnels.ca/world-braille-day

Description: The evolution of braille technology tells a story of break-through innovations and exciting possibilities. While there was a time not too long ago when braille could only be accessed on paper, we have now moved from the earliest single line displays to multi-line displays, eBRF, tactile graphic tablets and more. What were some of the earliest braille devices that would surprise you today, and which do braille users wish would return to the market? What are the most exciting present-day innovations and how will they change the playing field? Why is it that some technology never takes hold? As we look ahead, what are some remaining gaps in the industry and what do braille users hope to see on the horizon? Come and join us as a panel of braille users share their views on innovations in braille technology, their wishes for the future, and what they feel developers should know. If you love braille and are excited about technology, this event is for you!
