You are invited to the CCB’s GTT Zoom meetings where we focus in on the technology needs and concerns of Canadians who are blind or low vision. The calls will take place over the accessible Zoom Conference system, which will allow participants to dial in using their landline phones, smart phones, or computers. Different zoom platforms are used for different meetings, and some require preregistration.

CCB-GTT Unseen Touch Screen Course Session 9 with Michael Feir

Description: The settings app is what you use to configure your iPhone so it best suits your needs. You can do everything from choosing how bright your display is to adjusting security options and enabling accessibility features. There are hundreds of settings inside various branches of options. This cession will be the first of a two part exploration of what settings are available. The focus will be on overall orientation to the Settings app plus deeper dives into some of the branches of options.

Sara is a church choir director, a broadcaster and podcast contributor, a songwriter, a musician, a would-be novelist and sometime poet, and a blogger. She has a Masters degree in English Literature from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario, and she enjoys reading, going for walks with her guide dog, and learning all she can whenever she can. Born in Brantford Ontario, she attended the W. Ross Macdonald School for the blind from 1983-1997, and she is a proud member of the executive board of that school’s alumni association. She is currently married to Michael Feir, and she lives in Mississauga Ontario.
